Heal
Healing is an important part of our lives together at St. Mark's. Every fifth Sunday of the month, we have a special healing service. As music plays, people come forward to receive a blessing and to be anointed with oil. For us it is a sign of God's healing presence among us.
St. Mark's also encourages healing in the ways we use our building. We house the Morrell Park St. Agnes Wellness Center. In the service of helping people recover from addictions to drugs and alcohol, we host Alcoholics Anonymous and Narcotics Anonymous meetings.
In our support for healing from addiction, St. Mark's includes in our prayer and worship the ministry of Earl's Place, a transitional home for men recoving from addictions and homelessness. Through social justice, we seek the healing and wholeness of the whole creation.
